My name is Chris Jones and while visiting my grandchildren in Invermere, BC for Easter in 2010 I happened to see David Goldsmith, an old friend from Saskatchewan. David and I met while I was coordinating fine craft markets with the Saskatchewan Craft Council. I had admired both his unique pewter sculptures and scrimshaw work. David and his wife, Marilyn, had decided to retire from their Sculptures in Pewter  business and asked me to spread the word. When I looked over the Sculptures in Pewter website and saw the range of pieces and long list of stores and galleries carrying the pewter sculptures I realized that this was a chance for me to put my years of experience working with the SCC to the test.

I have worked my whole life in the arts. I have owned and operated movie theatres in Winnipeg and Saskatoon and coordinated film festivals, comedy and Fringe Festivals. Since 1996 I have worked as Member Services Coordinator for the Saskatchewan Craft Council helping craft and visual artists market their work at retail markets throughout the province and beyond.

I look forward to adding to the variety of sculptures in the current series and to renewing contact with the shops and galleries who have worked with Sculptures in Pewter over the years.
